Heather Mak, Co-founder
Heather is the Principal Advisor at Heather Mak Consulting, and specializes in sustainability for consumer-facing businesses, in particular on strategy, stakeholder engagement, transparency, and supply chain issues. Heather has also worked as a consultant for Deloitte, SustainAbility, and Canadian Business for Social Responsibility, and has also worked in-house at Tim Hortons and Retail Council of Canada. Heather has also lectured at the MBA level at the Schulich School of Business, York University, and regularly mentors students, young professionals, career transitioning professionals and new immigrants who are interested in sustainability.
Heather has an MBA with Honours in Business and Sustainability from the Schulich School of Business, York University and a B.Com with Distinction in Marketing from McGill University. Heather is fascinated by open air markets, stories of the Chinese diaspora and the world’s Chinatowns, the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright and the extensive catalogue of Quincy Jones. Heather speaks English and passable French and Cantonese, and is perpetually trying to learn Mandarin.

Marie Jurcevic, Co-founder
Marie has been a corporate sustainability practitioner for almost 15 years. She has held sustainability roles at ARC Resources, Enbridge, Seven Generations Energy and Canadian Business for Social Responsibility. Prior to working in the energy industry, Marie worked in the non-profit sector. She specialized in youth engagement and empowerment. Marie supported youth in various capacities, most notably she was involved in a youth-led initiative called Youth Reach Out Against Racism.
Marie has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Calgary and a Master of Science in Responsibility & Business Practice from the Faculty of Management at the University of Bath. On a personal note, Marie loves to spend time with her family, travel, volunteer and as a self-proclaimed foodie, she is always keen to try new recipes or the latest restaurant.

Michael Harvey, Co-founder
Michael is a Director of Sustainability Strategy & Social Impact at SunLife, a Canada-based insurance, investment and health company. Michael drives and coordinates the overall sustainability strategy and leads initiatives to embed a sustainability mindset into the fabric of the organisation across governance, key processes, and priority topics.
Prior to SunLife, Michael spent over a decade as a consultant with PwC, SustainAbility and ERM, where he helped values-led organizations improve their sustainability performance and impact through research, strategic advice and coaching. Michael holds a BA in Philosophy from Cambridge University and an MSc in Global Politics from the University of London.

Oke Isaac-Onwah, Social Media and Engagement Lead
Oke Onwah is the Social Media Lead for Diversity in Sustainability, based out of Toronto.
She works as an Analyst on the Sustainable Finance Solutions team at Sustainalytics, and previously held sustainability internships at Buro Happold and WSP in London, UK. She also supported the integration of sustainability at HP Canada as a Program Manager.
Oke holds a Master of Science in Sustainability & Consultancy from University of Leeds with Distinction and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Environment & Business with Distinction.
