Sokeinaye “Soki” Charles is the Sustainability Lead at De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited, where he leads the organizations’ efforts to integrate sustainability strategy, disclosure, and performance management into its broader business objectives.
A seasoned sustainability and energy professional with over 17 years of industry experience, Soki has held key sustainability roles in Nigeria and Canada. Prior to joining De Havilland, he helped develop the sustainability and ESG strategic framework and energy transition roadmap at Seplat Energy, Nigeria’s premier indigenous energy company, where he also guided the transition from CSR to full ESG reporting. Most recently, at Veren Inc., Soki led Canada’s first joint EO100/MiQ responsibly sourced gas certification.
Soki holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering and an Executive MBA from the University of Calgary. He is a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional and a Certified Sustainability /ESG Practitioner. Outside of work, he enjoys playing the guitar, traveling, and spending time with his family.
